Place

A tale of two zip codes

May 21, 2017

Partnership member Anthony Iton uses his medical training to illustrate the salience of place, how people separated by just a few blocks can face vastly different dangers and opportunities; or in other words, when it comes to health, how your zip code can matter more than your genetic code. Iton is leading the Partnership’s work to develop place-conscious strategies that support economic mobility. One of the tools he uses to explain the importance of place-conscious efforts is this video, narrated by actor George Takei.
