Banking on Jackson, Mississippi's youth

Partnership member Bill Bynum, CEO of Hope Credit Union, is part of a team of organizations that opened the first student-run credit union branch in Jackson, Mississippi. Last month Hope, Jackson Public Schools, and Align Jackson, a nonprofit organization that supports Jackson’s public school system, unveiled the new branch at Provine High School. Student workers assist peers and faculty in opening accounts and can earn academic credit as they learn the intricacies of running a financial institution.
