Lauren Abrahams is the research and project assistant for the US Partnership on Mobility from Poverty at the Urban Institute. Abrahams graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied sociology, social policy, and international studies. While at Johns Hopkins, Abrahams assisted Kathryn Edin on a study of extreme poverty in Baltimore City; she also coordinated a student volunteer group for refugee youth.
